again, this rain

again, this rain
falling like so many
rainy days
each a
drop dropping from
the endless sky

to the ground
where it shatters to thoughts
too many to count
but persistent

drops dropping from
the endless sky

my thoughts breaking
on the ground
again, I think certain
sad things
and a song floats by

a cloud floating through
that endless sky

dropping thoughts as drops of rain
each subtly heard--
