Salvation

Poetry is life
with words as days.

Within these words lies truth,
to find truth is to find salvation.

I am mortal
so I seek life through poetry.
Perhaps, too, I am a poet
since I seek salvation through words.

I sense it in the poem
but it is hidden
(in words written or unwritten?)

so I will write some more:
perhaps I may yet find salvation
in this poem
